She's all laid up in bed with a broken heart
While I'm drinking jack all alone in my local bar

Palavrões

"Uma tarde eu me debrucei em minha cama, lendo um livro interessante. Um vento gostoso entrava pela janela, e eu me divertia, bastante concentrada em meu livro. De repente, comecei a ficar zonza e atordoada com uma barulheira que vinha não sei de onde... Olhei: era a minha tia. Ela havia entrado em meu quarto, xingando e reclamando sem parar. Parecia que o problema era o cão que espalhara lixo pelo jardim. Mas, que engraçado! A impressão que eu tive foi de que minha tia tinha espalhado um saco de lixo no meu quarto, e saído como se nada tivesse acontecido... Imediatamente, lembrei das vezes que falei palavrões. Como é desagradável uma pessoa que reclama de tudo, xinga os outros, pragueja quando algo acontece, diz palavrões! Achei muito legal quando me explicaram uma frase: "A boca fala do que o coração está cheio". Quer dizer que, se estamos tristes, falamos de coisas tristes e ruins. É bíblica a troca de presentes?

Biblioteca Sacra, vol. 12, páginas 153-155: " A troca de presentes entre amigos é característico tanto do Natal como da Saturnália, e os cristãos seguramente a copiaram dos pagãos, como o demonstra com clareza o conselho de Tertuliano ". O costume de trocar presentes com amigos e parentes durante a época natalina não tem absolutamente nada a ver com o cristianismo! Ele não celebra o nascimento de Jesus Cristo nem O honra! (Suponhamos que alguma pessoa que você estima está aniversariando. Você a honraria comprando presentes para os seus próprios amigos??... Omitiria a pessoa a quem deveria honrar??... Não parece absurdo deste ponto de vista?!...) Contudo, isto é precisamente o que as pessoas fazem em todo o mundo. Observam um dia em que Cristo não nasceu, gastando muito dinheiro em presentes para parentes e amigos.
